Privacy Policy
About this policy
Cragmount (the “App”) is operated by Aswathy S, trading as Vembre Interactive (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what information the App processes, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.
Key point: we never see your files. Archives, disk images, vaults and the files inside them are opened and processed on your device. Their contents, their names and the passwords that open them are not sent to us or to any third party. Files leave your device when you send them to a server you added or open them in another app.
Scope
This policy applies to the Cragmount Android app. It does not cover servers you connect to, or other apps you open files with from the App. Your use of the App is also subject to our Terms of Service.
Information that stays on your device
The App works without an account. To provide its features it may use, on your device: the archives, images, vaults and files you choose to open, create or save; passwords, keyfiles and keys you enter for them; servers you add (such as file shares and SSH hosts), with the credentials and keys you save for them; what you type into the terminal; and your settings and preferences. Saved credentials and keys are protected with your device’s security features. This information stays under your control: you can remove it in the App, and uninstalling the App removes it. Files reach a server only when you open, save or send them there yourself.
Information we receive
We process limited, pseudonymous information — not your name, contact details, files, file names, passwords or server addresses — in these categories:
- Crash and diagnostic information, such as error codes, device and operating-system type, app version and recent in-app activity described in fixed terms, to keep the App stable and fix problems.
- Usage information, such as which features are used and whether operations complete, to understand and improve the App. Collected only with the setting described under “Your choices”.
- Advertising measurement, such as whether our ads led to an install, a trial or a purchase, using your device’s advertising identifier where available, to measure our own marketing. Collected only with the setting described under “Your choices”.
- Purchase information, such as product, transaction and subscription status, store country and currency, to sell, validate and restore subscriptions, and, with the setting described under “Your choices”, to measure our marketing.
- Identifiers: pseudonymous installation, app-instance and app-user identifiers generated by the App’s service providers, and the advertising identifier described above.
- Support correspondence, if you contact us: your email address and what you send us, to respond to you.
Payment details are handled by Google Play and are not received by us. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We use service providers to distribute the App and to provide crash reporting, analytics, advertising measurement and subscription management. They currently include Google (for example Google Play, Firebase and Google Ads) and RevenueCat, each processing information under its own terms and privacy policy. Providers may change as the App evolves. Google explains how it uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your choices
- Share usage and ad measurement. A setting in the App controls usage information and advertising measurement. In regions where consent is required — including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — the App asks when you first open it and leaves the setting off until you agree. Elsewhere it is on by default. You can change it at any time in the App’s settings; turning it off stops this collection from then on and resets the related analytics data for your installation.
- Crash and diagnostic information is needed to keep the App working and is collected independently of that setting.
- Advertising identifier: you can reset or delete it in your device settings.
- Notifications can be managed in your device settings.
Legal bases
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), we rely on your consent for usage information and advertising measurement, which you can withdraw at any time using the setting above; on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the App for crash and diagnostic information; and on the performance of our contract with you and our legal obligations for purchase information.
Retention
Information on your device remains until you remove it or uninstall the App. Information held by us or our service providers is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, in line with industry practice, and for longer only where the law requires it (for example, transaction records).
Your rights and deletion
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. You can:
- turn off Share usage and ad measurement in the App’s settings;
- remove information stored in the App, or uninstall it; and
- email cragmount@vembreinteractive.com for any other request, including deletion (subject “delete my data”). Including the Support ID shown in the App’s settings helps us find records linked to a purchase.
We respond to valid requests within a reasonable period and as required by applicable law. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, using safeguards required by applicable law.
Grievance contact
In accordance with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and applicable Indian data-protection law, grievances may be addressed to Aswathy S (trading as Vembre Interactive) at cragmount@vembreinteractive.com. We endeavour to acknowledge and respond within a reasonable period.
Children
Cragmount is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when the App or its service providers change. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where the law requires, take further steps such as asking for your consent again. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
